INFORMATION
If
you are looking to SELL YOUR VINYL RECORDS to us,
please read the following IMPORTANT points:
1.
Only a very small percentage of vinyl records are
considered collectable (usually only Rock & Roll
music dating before 1965, NO 78s, 8-tracks, Easy
Listening or Classical, Country, etc., EVER!).
Collectable records also need to be in excellent to
mint condition. "Playable" is
unsatisfactory!
2.
If you are CERTAIN that your collection consists of
MANY true gems, and believe that your vinyl records
are of interest to dealers and collectors, you can
mail them to us (at your expense) for consideration.
The best possible outcome will be that we are
interested and you accept a cash offer from us. If
this is not the case, we will be happy to return your
shipment to you, however, we will charge a $10.00
appraisal fee + exact return postage.
3.
You only stand to make a little money if you have a
fairly large collection for sale. Don't bother
advertising a handful of records, even if they are
Elvis, Beatles or otherwise great records. Collectors
and dealers alike are looking to buy a lot of records
at a time, and at a good price. Nobody will give you
the time of day about a little box of old 45s or a
small stack of albums.
Hopefully
the above pointers will help you in your decision. We
apologize for giving you such a general overview of
the business, without sugarcoating, but this is how
this business operates. I've been doing this for many
years, and I had to learn some of the facts too.
Today, with a successful mid-size Internet business to
operate, I'm happy to pass on this information to you.
Please don't get discouraged, but also don't expect
"everybody everywhere" to be interested in
just any vinyl record collection they are offered. It
doesn't work that way.
